VANS x Van Gogh Museum Collaboration Launch Party
GOAL: To celebrate the launch of VANS collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, highlighting iconic works of the artist in a new light.
EXECUTION: Collaborated with VANS Event Designer, Ina Kanoaki, to translate conceptual art direction into tangible elements for the launch event. Leveraged high-resolution images from the Van Gogh Museum to create detailed renderings and vendor build guides. Designed custom displays that seamlessly integrated VANS products with Van Gogh's artwork.
MOOD: Inspired by the rich legacy of Van Gogh's artistic genius, we aimed to infuse the event with a sense of creative passion and historical reverence. The thematic elements drew from Van Gogh's renowned works such as Skull, Almond Blossom, Sunflowers, and his self-portrait, incorporating them into a vibrant and cohesive visual experience.
GUEST JOURNEY: Visitors embarked on a journey through six distinct spaces – Almond Blossom, Letters, Old Vineyard with Peasant Woman, Self Portrait, Skull and Sunflowers – each dedicated to showcasing Van Gogh's masterpiece alongside corresponding VANS products. The seamless integration of art and fashion invited guests to explore the intersection of creativity and style, fostering a deeper appreciation for both Van Gogh's legacy and VANS' design ethos.
ROLE: As a key member of the VANS Environmental Design Group, I played a central role in bringing the event vision to life. Responsible for creating detailed renderings, developing the vendor build guide, and specifying structural and graphic design elements, I ensured that the final execution surpassed expectations. Collaborating closely with Ina Kanoaki and Brittany Wentz, I bridged the gap between concept and reality, delivering a visually stunning and memorable experience for attendees.
